At WAITT Unsigned we love it when the women of the world give the men a good run for their money, and no one does it better than London five-piece Anavae.
With recent shows with There For Tomorrow, Hawthorne Heights, Never Means Maybe and WAITT favourites Violet under their belt, Anavae are proving to be one of the most exciting acts on the unsigned circuit.
Made up of Josh Platt, Seb Gee, James Pearce, Jamie Finch and frontwoman Rebecca Need-Menear Anavae have been performing their powerful blend of melodic rock up and down the UK since 2011 with epic results. And let’s just say if their 10,000+ Facebook following is anything to go by, then these guys are clearly making new fans from all corners of the country with every triumphant set they deliver.
Their latest offering "Into The Aether" is a ferocious album made up of 7 tracks that provide the sort of soaring pop melodies that could contend with the likes of Paramore and We Are In The Crowd on any day of the week. Not to mention the vocal and musical raw power that sees them stand up against the genres new breed like VersaEmerge and the industries giants such as Flyleaf with effortless ease.
For a band only a year into their lifespan Anavae have knocked up some impressive achievements, such as their feature in Kerrang! Magazine’s Introducing section just last month. At this rate these five awesome individuals are going to be breaking out of the underground scene and into the mainstream in a matter of months!
With so much excitement building behind the band as they look towards their southern September dates and begin writing new material, you know that something sensational is on the horizon. But the band know that their good fortune has only been possible thanks to their incredible fans, which is why "Into The Aether" is available as a free download to thank those music loving legends for their unfaltering support over the past 12 months, and we certainly can't wait to see what happens over the next 12.

Festival: Wychwood Festival 2012 In the run up to Wychwood Festival 2012 the weather did not look like it was on the festivals side.
